Jan lives with his wife Ann, in a tiny hilltop town in Italy, with breathtaking views, amazing nature walks, good food and wonderful people. They both enjoy the tranquillity of the town, which is the perfect atmosphere for writing.

Born in France to parents in the diplomatic service, he was privileged to see a lot of the world and has lived in many countries including South Africa, Belgium, Greece, Spain, India, Pakistan, France, Switzerland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Italy. Not to mention all the others he had the pleasure to visit. He speaks six languages fairly fluently and understands another three.

Jan is currently working on a follow up novel and a humorous autobiography called “The Diplomatic Brat”. He has also published a book of poetry: “Wandering Thoughts & Other Such Nonsense”.
