A Few Selected Poems From My Book
"Mindless Wanderings & Other Such Nonsense"

What invisible chains bind your mind
Keep you imprisoned through your guilt
Soothing monotony, squelching inner rage
Provides you comfort in your cage
Chanting voices, ancient rituals, embroidered papal silk
Flowing robes, numb the senses, keep the demons kind
Bells toll to summon your conviction
You obey and heed the call of your addiction
As your master strikes another nail
To ensure your loyalty and impale
Your heart to such deceitful fiction
You’ve been taught to call religion
